It’s sobering. I was listening to a few guys about traffic coming into Ft Worth last week. Was about to ask them a question until they indicated their location which was 14-miles (and a different highway) from me.

One of two reasons.
1. Extremely short skip conditions.
2. Two fine tune radios talking to each other.Slowmover1 Thanks this. -
My opinion is that with DSP in the Receive the operator is getting EVERYTHING of which the radio is capable.
IOW, most (maybe all) drivers aren’t aware of how well their radio is performing. Too much static.
The “better” the radio, so much more can DSP benefit the operator.
The rig can finally quit hanging in gear, upshift, and RUNshogun Thanks this. -
I havnt used a 980 in quite some time and forgot how much better the receive is compared to other radios I own, better than Mckinley, better than 880, better than 99v2, and better than Cobras, I was listening early morning while making delivery in Tipp City, OH and heard alot more than I usally do on AM and SSB, and that is with 4' Francis antennas on T680 stock mounts. Since I use radio more for listening than talking the addition of DSP will be awesome.slim6596 and Slowmover1 Thank this.

Waiting to get back in an assigned truck for the DSP speaker purchase. It's on my list.
