Few days ago I when I was workin on them bumper lights in my garage, I took the opportunity to clean some of the junk out of my “electrical” tool box I keep in the truck.
Last night coming out of Altus, my truck started buckin like a wild horse. I hit the shoulder and it had a check engine light. Code was engine position sensor.
Guess what one of the things I left in the garage was? Spare sensor.
So I fiddled with the wires and the plug, and took off. Got to Vernon and it started actin up again. Made it to Wichita Falls and stopped at the Alon. Took the sensor out and it had a tiny sliver of metal right on the tip. Cleaned it off and it was fine after that.
Dodged a bullet. That sensor is going right back in the tool box.
