H&A were advertising on Indeed $1200 to $1500 a week. No they advertise $2000 a week for company driver.
Did they got a huge pay raise or is H&A blowing smoke.
I was interested, but talked to couple drivers and was told that they can make $1500 a week working 13-14 hours a day.

About half of my freight recently got a substantial increase. Since this is a get paid for what you do type of business we have a variety of income levels. I don’t know about the pay at every terminal. There are company drivers making 12-15 a week working and there are company drivers making over $2,0000 at the same terminal. Much of it has to do with experience and determination. As an owner op the only thing keeping me from $8,000 every single week is my lack of desire and need for an extra couple grand a week. If I want to make $8,000 it is there, but I usually prefer 45-50 hours and my $6,000ish. We do have owner ops at my terminal who are much more motivated than I am and their numbers put mine to shame.Last edited: Feb 24, 2019
BigBob410 Thanks this. -
Thats not bad at all! How much cdl experience does one have to have to come over as a company driver? Also how much experience car haul do they require to be an owner op?
-
Two years CDL experience and they will train you to haul cars.

Do Hansen and Adkins have automatic transmission or manuals
-
They are mostly Volvo's with 10 speed manual transmissions. Some terminals do have a couple automatics but they are assigned to drivers that have been there a while.

My friend works for HA as an owner operator in the bay area local. He has a 9 car daycab. He usually does 2 trips a day loaded full with new cars. That's a lot loading and unloading. It is very streunous work and not everyone can do 14 hr days with no damages. And the guy is in his 60s. They have to pay for damages as owner ops. They deserve more than 2000 a week for company drivers. Much respect to local drivers for they're hard work. As for me, I'll stick to long haul, load once and good for some days.

Jesus I want in.

Just takes an application, enough experience and a whole lot of effort.BigBob410 and Lightfoot71 Thank this.

I hired in at Memphis terminal a year ago. Gave it my best for 5 months, but it was really lame as Memphis is a railhead and feeds Arkansas mostly. Hard to get into the system as the good loads get saved for owner ops or favored company drivers running the system as nobody wants to pull loads to Arkansas. I feel that the amount of work with the pay and deadhead it's not for me. On ELOGS, the company strict micromanaging, burning through your 70 is normal and the pay just doesn't match the amount if work, responsibility of damages,etc....You will work 6 days a week.
