    Hey all,

Thought this would be a good discussion to start. What factors do you guys consider when negotiating with shippers; are you using load to truck ratios, rate tools, looking at commodity/weight, fuel prices, broker's cut, other factors, etc. Are there any other factors you guys consider?

All of the above, plus frequency, accessorial schedule expectations, transit times, tracking preferences, shipping/receiving hours, etc.

What the lane is. Which direction it’s going. Also certain times of the year in certain areas there are large fluctuations due to produce seasons. This can also effect more then just reefer. Whether the area is a dead zone for trucks on either end.
