Hey all, kinda of a stupid question, but I’m going to ask anyways. I live about 15 minutes from where I would be picking up this guy’s trailer. He’s offering to pay 700 to take it to TN. It’s around 1,000 miles round trip. I’m trying to find out if the trailer is loaded, or empty. I drive a International with a 60 Series. Here is my thing, whether it’s empty, or loaded I will be bob tailing back home. What do you guys think? I definitely want to find out if it’s empty, or loaded first, but like I said I will be bob tailing back, thanks again all!

I know that’s only .70 cents a mile, but on the way back that’s .70 cents a mile bob tailing.

That is working at a loss. You will have to find a back haul to even begin to be worth it. Even just one way that’s 1.40 which is a joke. Where is the starting city?

Fuel alone will cost you atleast 40 cents per mile.

Go to Amazon and offer capacity. They will use it.

Say fuel costs you .40 and it costs .20 for truck maintenance. That leaves you .10 x 1000 = $100 and that’s before paying For your truck, insurance, or anything. Unless you want to do it for fun and experience it’s a bad move.

Do you have your own authority? Did you just buy your truck or something? What truck do you have?

    JonJon78 Thanks this.

Why would you help him out? He’s not helping you by offering $700 that’s for sure. Are you not able to do the math?

Fuel alone is $400. You’re nuts
