These are expensive, but run off waste vegetable oil and heat a shop/garage well.lovesthedrive, WesternPlains and tucker Thank this.

I make very little oil waste. I put a paper towel in a colander and filter the crud out.
I’ve probably had the same oil for close to a year and just poured if all down the drain because I heard it may contain heavy metals.WesternPlains Thanks this. -

@tucker I keep forgetting to ask you............Did you have those plans for the house custom drawn, or did you pick from a group the builder or architect already had?

Well.
I met my contractor and told him I wanted a nice 2 bedroom home with a walkout basement.
But it wasn’t that easy.
He suggested I talk with a draftsmen at Kight Lumber and design a plan.
And I did talk to him.
So I googled “2 bedroom house with basement” and looked at a thousand plans.
None of them I really liked.
I narrowed it down to 2 floor plans and noted what I liked and what I wanted and emailed it to him.
We went back and force just a few times.
He said if I wanted the stairwell where I wanted it that the front door closet would have a raised floor.
AND IT DOES!!! otherwise I’d hit my head when I used the stairs.
And the only changes have been to a regular bathtub shower as a custom shower was way too expensive and the unexpected 2 extra feet on my front porch. WHICH I LOVE!!
And I’m using the top notch contractor around here. And it only costs a little more to go first class.Vic Firth, Cattleman84, lovesthedrive and 5 others Thank this. -
