assuming you are male, testosterone is your biggest ally in weight loss
high quality sleep and avoiding stress and alcohol will be key
some people do well on keto, some don't. you won't know until you try.
I got down to the same size I was in high school and maybe 10% bodyfat eating mostly ribeye steak, eggs, and avocados. Fat make us feel full. I had a rack of ribs yesterday and I'm still not hungry yet. If I eat a pizza all it does it make me want to eat another pizza. -

I've seen people who were both vegans and vegetarians and they don't look too healthy to me. Dark circles around their eyes, pale complexions, etc... I've always considered Whole Foods to be a bit of a scary place where the scary people were. -

i've been a reader my while life. I read a book a day in elementary school
i don't study on YouTube. I read books. When I wanted to learn about the subprime mortgage crisis, I read at least 10 books, including an entire book devoted solely to mortgage backed securities (derivatives).
I can go into any public library and pull 20 books off the shelves within 5 minutes that I have read in their entirety.

As for YouTube, I watch it all the time. A video showed me how to change the transmission fluid on both my cars, which I've never done before. Personally, I wouldn't knock YouTube, it's full of useful stuff. -
Well, I just checked my progress again and it looks like I was carrying extra water or something because now I'm down to 218 lbs, which is still a record for me. I haven't been that light since 2010. My lean mass is 187, so I dropped some there. I'm hoping it was just water and not muscle I lost.
My body fat dropped slightly and I'm just above 14% with 31 lbs of the stuff, so I managed to drop an additional 2 lbs of fat. I'm still about 10 or so pounds overweight.
But there is good news. I'm getting quite a bit stronger. I managed to do 2 full pulls ups instead of just 1 somewhat good pull up and then a halfa$$ed one. So there's that. With bodyweight training, it's hard to tell your progress sometimes because I usually go for intensity rather than volume so I never keep count of my reps. And when I do keep count, it's only because I'm going for the cardio effect of strength training so the reps are always pretty easy.
I'll post again after I make more progress.
