@Upperdecker313 also a good thing to do... When you get told to park for an inspection at a scale... Before you set your brakes stand on that brake pedal good and hard a few times... It should adjust all the brakes on the truck and trailer... Then set brakes and go inside to follow DoT orders.

Okay guys , i was reading all your posts and i still have to ask question. I own Utility trailer 2017. I just noticed in the past 1-2 weeks when i have to slide my tandems loaded around 40-45k, seems like the brakes won’t hold and the wheels will start to roll right away i tried to slide them , but also there is no any issue with the pins. Go in and out easly. When i’m light loaded then i can slide them without any issue the brakes will hold. My question any opinion of what can be this caused by ? I have never adjusted my brakes on the trailer because i thought they are self adjustable. Please for advice. Thansk

Here some pic that i took from the brake pads.

I had a trailer that did that, there was an alignment problem with the pins. No problem empty, but with a load the pins wouldn’t line up properly with the holes, which with the pins engaged meant they were pinched and wouldn’t retract to release.

Adjust your brakes and they'll hold.
Automatics don't last forever.
2 brakes are losing adjustment. -
I have a automatic slack adjusters and i thoight they should not be manually adjusted or am i wrong ?Bean Jr. Thanks this.
-
Auto slack adjusters will stop working , anything mechanical will stop working. Yes you are correct about not manually adjusting auto slack adjusters in my opinion and limited experience
-
When the automatic slack adjusters stop working then you can adjust them to get you by but you should look into replacing them. If the trailer rolls when you try to slide the tandems, then you probably would be OOS with a level 1 inspection.InTooDeep and Socal Xpress Thank this.

Depending on how old the trailer is it could be maxi springs getting weak.
kemosabi49 and Bean Jr. Thank this.
