    No it's just one girl at the safety department who's being difficult. I'll be sure to annoy her tomorrow though.

    I'll try to register on their company and if I ever quit, I'll take a week vacation before hand.

    What you need is called a hunters permit. It is a 30 day temporary apportioned registration that allows you to drive an unladen (empty) commercial vehicle while in between leased carriers.

    NY offers the permit, it cost $12.50, call the IRP office in Albany. I beleive they do email them, so you would just print it atbthe truck stop and be legal to drive.

    I'm back in Brooklyn. Registered the truck under their company. They sent temp apportioned registration. Drove back to NY without any issues.

    Tested out the 3 overpasses I was worried about near my home in Brooklyn. My thinking was, if I hit them, #### it, I have a midroof and plan on taking off the "scoop" and long pipe anyway. Thankfully I got under them no problem. Despite them being labeled 12'5".

    Maybe I should start a thread on my journey as a new owner-op. Give future owner-ops and idea of what to deal with initially.
