Back to driving a limited option pickup.
A cupholder addition might have to get bumped up to top of the work schedule.

Never understood the long pants and sleeves deal?

I have long pants and safety long sleeves in my truck. I assess the location when I arive and dress appropriately.

Though My normal attire is steel toed shoes, cargo shorts and a golf shirt. Clean clothes every day.

My first real job was delivering ice in Phoenix Arizona. Boss there wanted me to suit up in wool, long pants and long sleeves to deliver ice in Phoenix.

    No way Jose.

I humped 40k to 50k lbs, 7 lbs at a time. each and every day. No pallet delivery. Each bag handled al least 2x.

That guy wanted me to dress like this guy from the turn of the century.

What do long pants and long sleeves protect us from?

What's amazing is: that acting right is extraordinary when it should not be.

That is what I am fighting with the young men here. I can provide a great role model, but then the rest of the day they have a worse example.

The remaining hope is that eventually they too will mature enough to see how much trouble that brings upon themselves. It only took me until I was 30 or so, they're only a few years later than me at this point so maybe.

It may be a different circumstance, but I grew up in Phoenix. As a kid I was always encouraged to wear long sleeves all the time, and an undershirt. Even though we didn't know about the dangers of catching skin cancer, ain't nothing worse than a deep sun burn. It's counter-intuitive, but that long sleeve and undershirt layer keeps you cooler in a zero humidity environment. But yeah, hard pass on wool anything.

That said, I think I'm usually the only driver I seen who will put on a knit hat and heavy jacket when entering a cold storage to fingerprint product. The others in sleepwear are trying their best not to act like they're cold. Same thing applies. It only gets uncomfortable outside standing in direct sunlight or if it's humid.

One reason I like Ram pickups. They all come with this option.

Well in all fairness I did buy a 22 year old pickup. But they had cups back then. The Am/Fm only radio works so there is that.
