I'm almost a month in with my new gig, based out of Fontana, CA. Yeah, dealing with California traffic requires shifting mental gears. Getting used to rarely ever looking at MyRadar is another thing. The weather has been nothing but perfect.

I'm paid a percentage of customer gross billing. Most of the loads are within California, Nevada, and Utah. The company's customer base pays really well. TWIC and other government issued ID is required, as well as tanker and hazmat endorsements. I'm having a blast learning new tricks, like working with an RGN (first RGN load today). Good crew. No complaints. I figure I'm the weakest link, so gotta play catch up again, which is how I like it.

All of the icons of my youthfulness are starting to die off. The Elephant bit is one of the best, followed closely by the dentist bit. He actually made Harvey wet himself in that scene.
