Wanted to wake up this thread, as the Bakken is waking up too now that the US/Iran are humming and oil is on the front page at $70/barrel again. Hiring is picking up. If you're into fuel hauling, Rolfson is hiring night drivers for $38/hr but their reputation is in the toilet, and to guys I know just quit after being promised 70 hours a week and then averaging just 50. Craigslist and Indeed CDL job ads are picking up too. Time will tell if the driving opportunities during this period will equal those of the last boom.

 

I heard they use guys and then fire them . work is up and down. Crap benefits not enough ot and junk equipment. There must be something wrong if they cant keep people for 35 hour.

 

If only someone gave a Bakken update about a week ago....

Wintertime is good time to come up here. A lot of people run from the cold back down south. The snowbirds are starting to come back right now and overpopulate the companies soaking up all the overtime. I may be heading home for the summer til the cold scares them away. Been the same routine for 9 years now :/

 

Does anybody know if Maxxon Energy in Killdeer is still around? They had really nice housing back in 2012.

 

Pilot bought them out years ago..
