We do, we need to trip plan. Can't just hold the steering wheel and go... ;)

and it's those that don't that are always whinning. i never had any problems, i got as close as possible, found a truck stop, took my break, got up and went on my way.

to stop 3 hours early, is to me no excuse. he had miles he could have put on.

350 miles / 7 hours = 50 mph. You will be about a hundred odd miles short and late.

Drugs are not part of the planning. If you think you can do better be my guest.

My solution is to make a new appt time.

Yeah, I think we just disagree on this. Stopping three hours early sucks because you are getting up three hours earlier. But you are not spending the time twiddling thumbs in traffic, a traffic jamb for an unknown amount of time.

At the end of the week you will have the hours you didn't spend sitting in traffic for that time. Spend it sitting in traffic, or take a break and spend it later. Who goes further in a week?

50mph is what they figure but I run 65 anywhere possible. My comment was in regards to another driver stating I’m essentially a dumb steering wheel holder not towards you or what you suggest. I’m unsure where the miscommunication is. While I was just asking other ways of doing it.
My way I should be right on time unless something silly happens with traffic and if it does that’s when I can dispatch.

Lepton1 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Some of you guys would argue with a fence post if it looked at you wrong. Lol. He now has 9 hours to go 410 miles. Considering he was in MD/VA traffic he made the only reasonable decision to ensure OTD. WTF. Lol

Sounds like you shut down early to not have to deal with stupid traffic tonight or in the morning, sounds like the right way to do it to me.

Ok. First off I cannot present a case without getting into trouble here.

If I knew exactly (Or even a area within a few blocks) if where you at and where you want to go in that area, I might be able to give you a alternative routing.

Md DC traffic is one of the absolute worse in the USA. Some days the aggression is through the roof. I generally bypass the whole shebang.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
