Personally, I think you have a ###### valid reason. If you don't want to lie about it, and assuming you haven't already tried this, you could try telling them what's on your DAC, what the real story is, and tell them "before" they look it up. That way, if they even bother to look it up, they'll know upfront. No surprises that way.

Been there, Done that.. I get the same story.. "Oh, that should'nt be a problem." Followed a few days later by "Sorry, but at this time we wont be able to hire you." As of right now, I recieved a call back on tuesday, from Hogan Trucking, (A company I had worked for in the past) and am to get a call back on thursday to give me the info for the bus ride to St Louis, MO for orientation. But I'll believe it when I'm in the truck. Wish me luck.:biggrin_25515:

Right now companies are being very picky about who they hire. If you have done something stupid. Like DH with out permission. Then you are screwed. Time to look for a new carrier

Hey Frostbyte, did you get the job at Hogan? I know what you mean by companies being very picky in their hiring right now. I have 20 years otr experience, and the company I'm with right now is having a hard time keeping us busy. I was getting 2500-3000 miles a week last year, but now I'm down to 1500-2000 mi per week. I've been trying to get back into pulling a reefer because you know everybody has to eat. But I've been getting turned down by everybody. I think it might be because over the last couple of years I tried a few lease-purchase companies, but once I got into them I could see things I didn't like. So they might be thinking I'm a job hopper, even though my work history is solid up until 2006. If things keep going the way they are where I'm at, I'm afraid I'll start falling behind on my bills. I've already wiped out my saving just trying to keep up with my bills. Isn't that something, I'm out on the the road all week and I'm still having problems paying then bills. We get layover pay when they can't find us a load, but you know that doesn't go far.
