If you truly are with Tier 3 Cummins diag assist, your in too deep for anyone to help over the internet. Good luck, and I hope your troubles are solved soon.

The horse has already left the barn, so this is no help, but when you had the primary issue, I think I'd just have gotten a reman crate motor. In the end you'd probably be dollars ahead.

Yes, Cummins Tier 3 is involved, they are instructing shop to pull all injectors at same time and inspect, that was initiated today

Motor runs fine when the codes are cleared, so that comment makes no sense

I have the same engine. For a few dollars more than you've invested, you have a new reman with a 200K warranty.

The injectors in this engine are designed to be tested in the engine. I dont know what good pulling them is gonna do. If you suspect or can identify a certain hole, moving them may help isolate. If the rail decay is acceptable and the injector return flow is within specs, I dont suspect a failed injector.

I can tell you that the torque sequence on the injectors and quill tubes is critical. Might mention if new quill tubes(Cummins calls them high pressure connectors) were installed. They must be replaced or left paired with mating injector to insure a leak free seal.

They are pulling injectors to see if there is any debris in the micro screen on the inlet

Status update, truck will not complete injector performance test on Insite, aborts test about halfway through test(around injector 3 or 4 test 2 or 3). Shop decided they would not troubleshoot any further as they viewed the problem as unsolvable. I have another tech from Idaho doing some research to determine if this shop followed ALL protocols from Cummins Quickserve Diagnostic Procedure. From my observations while at the shop, it seems they skipped over some, when I asked about fuel flow measurement results on various steps in the Cummins Quickserve Test Procedures, they could not give me the results as the levels were not measured and logged, or possibly not performed. Watching what the tech was doing over and over, was like a dog chasing his tail because he could not pinpoint the root of the problem
