I think my last video pretty much silenced the pork chop but this one will put the final nail in this coffin and prove his rhetoric is nonsense! here's my 99 V2 making one of many 1000+ Mile contacts right through a sheet ton of noise and other radios,I guess I'm not a mud duck after all so "pay attention" chops lollll, I normally don't take the debate this far but it really bothers me that he would trash and insult a good CB shop, I have another update and great customer service report about
Bells I'll post later but in the meantime chew on this chops...

It's completely Barefoot bud in fact in that video I only have the radio on half power, if you look at the needle you'll see that it's not swinging very much when I'm talking, probably right at about 20 watts sideband, at full power it will swing 40-ish on sideband but I never run It On full power when on sideband because the finals do get warm causing the radio to drift more (typical Galaxy trait) on am the radio does a 10watt dead key and swings to 50 watts on high with NO ditortion no matter what pork chop tries to say...

So if you guy's remember several pages back I sent Bells a Cobra 29 ltd bluetooth that I screwed up trying to dim the lights on, well it took them a month to get to it (pretty busy shop) and after getting it all re-aligned Carle (screwdriver) called me to let me know that dimming the meter light is no problem but the channel, RX and TX lights are alot more involved and he would have to wire In a variable dimmer switch to the circuit board and it would be fairly expensive because of all the Bluetooth circuitry on the radio so he wanted to ask me what I wanted to do before he did that and the other mods I ask for, I told him I think I will just put the 99v2 in my pickup and get another radio I've been eyeing that's more ssb friendly for my shop, I'm not going to say what deal he ended up giving me on the re-alignment for my cobra and this new radio but he went way out of his way to make me happy since the cobra didn't work out like he thought it would when he said to send it in, let's just say again he went above and beyond customer service wise....

Oh and chops "pay attention" to the video he says "for Matt in Idaho!" Pretty long commute for someone you tryed to say worked there lollllll

    Anyways my new toy....

Whats the trick to getting out and receiving 1000 miles?
We used to have 2 way Motarola radio system in our construction business and it would talk base to mobile 90 miles at best if the mobile was at a high elevation in town and the clouds were right.

We had a 150' tall base antenna.

Well the 99v2 made it to the pickup and just looks like it was ment to be there if you ask me lollll.... haven't got to spend a lot of time on it but she's easily talking 10+ miles Am and 40 miles ssb (non-skip) off a cheap 4ft Firestik Firefly but we'll see how she does as time goes on, can't wait for the lincoln 2 plus to get here next week so I can put it in the shop and see how it does...

I wish pork chop didn't take his ball and go home I'm almost missing the guy lolllll

Here's a Gate for ya! Didn't have much going on today so I thought I would make my own little "pay attention" video to drive the point home!, now my phone picks up every stinkin little noise there is! in fact it makes my pickup sound twice as loud as it really is and even picks up the carrier static that you can't hear with your own ears so if there was any over modulation or Distortion you would definitely hear it, but even recording this with my over-sensitive dumb phone I think this 99v2 from Bells sounds loud proud and clear from 100 yrds away to 5 miles away but you guys get to decide for yourself now....
