Whos your dispatcher? Opie only pre plans on the weekends.

Regarding Ames unload yea I ran into an issue last week there also. Got into it with a supervisor there. I contacted dispatch about the issue there and hopefully the problem is solved. I know Opie was pretty irritated when I'd sat there for 4.5hrs when we have drop trailers there.

Picking up a load from there has never been a problem

 

Yup was me. And only reason I asked was because load we picked up from there was scheduled for the 18th with a delivery tomorrow in Rochester at 10a . Opie asked if we could do the load because noway solo driver could pick it up this morning and make it for a 10am.

 

So 10 am appt might mean your student gets to back into door 82?

 

My Dispatcher is. Jim P. But he's retiring and I have no clue on who I'm getting. Heard it might be Marco. All I know is I don't appreciate hooking up to an empty and then get a load at same place I just dropped. Should of been pre planned.

 

I have Jim P also, I have nothing but positives to say about the man. Really the past 3 months I think I have been spoiled. He may have ruined any and all dispatching relationships I have from here on out. Going to be a tough act to follow.

Edit. Not implying in any way that you said anything negative. Just you mentioned him so thought I would chime in.

 

Did he know what time you were dropping? Best way to alleviate that issue is when you're going in somewhere to drop that we also pick up from, bout an hour from reaching your final send in a simple "eta to final 1hr" or give a time. Or ask do I need to grab an empty or got a load coming from here? Thats what I do and Opie always gives me the heads up before i get there what i need to do.

Also if you get Marco you should be happy. He'd be my choice if Opie ever retires.
