So far the mitigation system is making believe in ghost and I have to throw a fit about this situation... I went to a terminal and I had a flat tire and was getting ready to do a post trip and since I was calling it a day and out of nowhere this dude came chewing my rear and me having a flat I told him "hey I'm trying to close my logs and I'm putting it on my post trip so they can fit it while I do my 10"..... next day I was pulled into the office and between him and a terminal manager tried to write me up for that.. I had to call driver services while I was in the office to not get a write up

What... you were going to get written up for doing a post trip and documenting the flat tire?
-
Because they saw it before I was done with my post trip I think he was just a brown nose trying to get brownie points... theres no way I was going to get written up I'm way too start not to call bs on that but when it doubt call driver services
Bud A. and Eggroll'n Trucker Thank this. -
Wait a minute, so if you're already at a terminal and need to send the truck in the shop. You got to call driver service?
-
No I had to do it because I wanted them to tell driver services why they wanted to write me up because it didn't make no sense
Bud A. and Eggroll'n Trucker Thank this. -
Now that's some booshiet right there.
-
Let's say I'm avoiding that terminal at all costs
Bud A., ChicagoJohn, RockinChair and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've had success at QC. It boils down to your work ethic, location and the terminal management.
If you run regional, the Southern region doesn't pay that well, aside from the Houston area.
Chat with the manager and the drivers. Chat with more than one terminal if you're OTR. Talk with the guys who are making money. If you can't find any, try another terminal.
A good terminal manager takes care of the good guys.Bud A., ChicagoJohn and Eggroll'n Trucker Thank this. -
I complaint about my miles and next week my terminal manager hooked me up with a load going to Kansas city then coming back and heading to Alabama that's almost 3k miles with the holiday pay I will be bringing about 1.5k as a company driver (my daily average is 640 miles a day) I told her about my truck and she wants me to stay company driver
Bud A. Thanks this. -
So what are you going to do? They are making me go to the NC terminal to train with someone to do pump work. Then take my truck to freightliner. Swap into a different truck and head to Arkansas them swap back when my truck is finished.
