Those tomatoes came off the airfreight with no problems for 10 years now into Kennedy Customs freight. WHY DO YOU have to be the newbie that effs this all up?

(They put beef tomatoes in 10 balsa wood crates underneath 900 pounds of Peppers.) Here I am sitting in the Norristown Distribution telling my dispatcher that's for air ride people not a spring reefer. On the second payphone was the broker screaming they aint paying ####, Forgetabotit!) and in payphone three is OSD office your neglgence and rough driving caused this load to be destroyed. No damage from Belgium and Holland into Plane KLLM Airlines to Kennedy and now you smash all these things? You are not a professional driver KID...

Three payphones on the wall inside the dock waiting area next to that nice sliding glass greetings area with a woman behind the desk to gather up your papers and so on.

Every time one phone squawked I give back with a constantly evolving profanity. You should be firing the hayseed who put them 'maters on the bottom. Yes they know better if they have been in the business since Frederich the great has been in power. That means nothing.

In the end I think they wanted those tomato to keep 10 crates of smashed. Splinters and so on into them.

All that yelling consumed 2 hours. The other drivers teased me so bad.. but I took it like a man. And tried to give back as I got.

Fast forward to 9-11 I learned that the people responsible for finances for payment of payroll was either destroyed or everything they needed to continue was destroyed hence no payroll. for God only knows how long.

We kept on trucking but they don't know it is a very good possibility that some of them might have been contesting the freight damage. It's all water under the bridge.

That particular reciever was the first entry in a large black book meant to remind myself which were the worst shippers and reciever. It grows with time.

“We run these everyday for x amount”(Always cheap) or “We always cover these for this”

Ran one of those where the broker said that the other day, had some trouble at the receiver and come to find out this was the very first load they had ever ran for the customer.
