If it’s overfilled it will cycle every few seconds, won’t cool very well and you will know it isn’t right. I agree with Sawmill, while I never filled a system in a 379, those pressures are way too high even with ambient temps in the 90s. He is supposed to charge it by weight but it doesn’t sound like he did that.
If it was undercharged, you will hear a hissing when the expansion valve opens and bubbles. It will typically be warm at idle and get cooler when air comes across the condenser going down the road. I typically idle a motor up when adding Freon just so the compressor cycles and pulls it in, that’s just me. And if it is overcharged and cycling almost non stop, the environmentally unfriendly approach is to vent it into the atmosphere until it stops rapid cycling.
