Most of the traffic in that darn city is because of 4 wheelers improperly merging or waiting until the last half mile at the left most lane to cross 4 lanes into the exit cutting everyone off. Probably why they started putting barricades within the last mile before merging into the Atlanta bypass loops.
Is I-75 GA really dangerous?

Having driven through all the major cities in 'Murica, I absolutely, without reservation, think Atlanta is the worst. Yes, even the LA area and NYC. Unless I count at least three accidents going through, I get hinky, because I know I am not free and clear. They are aggressive drivers, but also crappy drivers. In NYC and LA at least, they are aggressive, but seem to have a bit more skill. I don't know, maybe I see it different, but I really hate driving through that city.

The crash posted by the OP is a classic running into stopped traffic on the freeway thing, and isn't unique to I-75 or Atlanta. If you take your attention to just before the merging for dummies action, you'll see that truck hammer down in the right lane blowing the doors off all the other traffic. It's obvious to me everyone else but him seen something ahead and was already slowing.

Statewise, GA and SC are at the bottom followed by Colorado. -
It always surprised me how wild and aggressive the SCHOOL BUS drivers drove on the Atlanta 500.
