In all honesty, I don't think so. Fuel is all Seaboard/WestCan/Coop, Bulk is all Westcan/Tri-Line everything else is big name mega's or indian outfits (Grace, GTL, People Express Lightspeed). CNTL controls all the cans, we're pretty much a mega paradise I guess.
Is work slow for you?

There are some medium sized good companies, that you need 2+ years to work at, that a guy will be happy with. My outfit is already fighting back, its a game of chess, not checkers. Still sucks tho.
Once you get the exp, go work for ERB/K-Dac. I would go O/O for them if my current place goes downhill. But they don't do much out here in Alberta tho. -
Oregon and Wa are slow for reefer and van right now, never seen it this slow in my 8 year career. maybe cherry will help it for couple weeks but now nursery is almost over and load board is dead
Cat sdp Thanks this. -
My buddy told me how a bunch of east Indian companies owners got together this weekend. Their main discussions were how to deal with mega carriers, specifically challenger. Challenger has been sucking business left and right from the east Indians it's actually pretty funny. Originally they dropped the rates low and now they are complaining about low rates. My buddies company has been losing Amazon loads to challenger and they are apparently doing it at over half the price.
1 load was just a move from one warehouse to another and Amazon used to pay $350
Challenger came along and took it for $200.Last edited: May 26, 2019

And you know all this as a Challenger driver??? Sounds like somebody has been feeding you some pretty tall tales since Challenger farms out a lot of the cheap freight to the EI companies.

I worked with quite a bit of east Indians companies in the past, and the last one I worked for lost quite a bit of loads to them so I know it's legit. All drivers talk to each other, doesn't matter if you work at another company. Challenger has enough sucker lease operators to farm out their crap loads to, the few owner operators I've talked to seem to be doing alright.
They seem to be a good company from the outside but full of crap on the inside. I've pulled loads for certain shippers only to be screamed at by the reciever for being a week late. -
Are you saying that the lease operators at Challenger haul the cheap freight for a lower rate then a Challenger owner operator??

All of my buddies at highlight are still getting 2500-3000+ miles a week.

I was going to ask you how Highlight was going? Those guys did it right, contract work, with the biggest grocery chains, and they don't use ABL contractors.
