Everything I'm involved in is getting real depressing.
Farming: Buy retail and sell wholesale with a government dedicated to cheap reliable food production for the masses.
Trucking: An endless line of idiots ready to take over when the first guy fails.

Relitive of mine is in the dirt moving business. I told him I wanted to lease purchase a excavator from him. He can finance me, bid the jobs, provide my fuel, tell me where to dig and how deep. Pay me by how many scoops of dirt I move in a day.
I got the wtf look.
Told him that's how the truckin business works nowadays...

 

Just going out to visit some family outside of Winnipeg for a couple days. I've never been outside of Canada so we were hoping to make an overnight trip down to the US.

 

Nice. I may or may not be home all next week, so if you have time, we could meet up at some point.

 

Be about 4 or 5 weeks before we leave. We're a bit short on time as we both only have a week off.

 

Devils Tower was pretty neat in person. We watched some people climbing it. We walked up it but only the bottom part. Then there were all those prairie dogs not too far from there, something we don’t have in the South.

 

Gonna need to buy a personal squeegee. Pitiful two stops today and no fuel island had a single one!

Not trying to dog on Ya here @jamespmack, so please hear me out and try to understand the resentment towards the Resident Employment Fella

This Industry is far different from when I started in the early 70's.There were no Mega's, most Drivers were clean cut, polite and great at doing their job.

IMO what HP along with @old iron are trying to say is, that continuing to steer fresh meat to the Mega's is only perpetuating the ugly problems that exist in the Industry these days
