From that standpoint of view yes I agree. While i was otr I always called out to see if the truck on the side of the road needed help. That's the way it should be. I never trashed another driver because it "could" be me there not him/her. I just can't excuse certain accidents like a scalping because they are SO preventable. Jackknifing, roll overs etc.. are preventable but CAN and DO happen to anyone. No matter your experience level. if you're roaring down the road when you should be taking it easy due to conditions then you generally deserve what you get. IMO

Mr. GPS seems to have a small problem realizing distances.........
Wonder if he is the one that keeps peeing on the floor instead on IN the urinals at the Truck Stops ?

Nah... Mr. GPS is the one who pees on himself when the stupid little box starts flashing the "recalculating" message at him!

Ya, it does happen to anyone like it did with me. I rollovered at 25mph and I was terminated without questions, wasted my time coming back to the terminal and they do lie alot on the phone. After driving close to 2 years and boom, it was over. Never leave the shipper without them opening it first. My load was locked and sealed and it wasn't even secure. Guess I blamed that myself.

Sorry to hear about that madcity. I've had a few close calls but never had it go all the way. I always hated picking up loads that were sealed. You just never know what they did in there. Companies are very tricky. I have never in my life, no matter what industry have had much luck with large corporations. I have always found them to be duplicitous and underhanded at best.
I hope you have work, and be safe driver!!!

Apparently the cool thing to do now is say screw trip planning, just trust the gps. I am stopping more truckers coming down the Natchez Trace Parkway which is clearly marked in multiple areas "no commercial vehicles". They all say they were just following their trusty gps. I wonder how many truckers go straight through atlanta on I-20 and roll the dice because its faster than 285? LOL
