What do you call the yard trash trucks that have an automated arm that picks up brush and yard waste and puts it in a dump body? Whats needed to drive one possibly for the city or county?

You didn’t read the ad? You haven’t tried googling “types of refuse trucks”?

i just call it the garbage truck with the arm...

as for a CDL, just a class B, and one can retire with a very good pension, as in many municipalities, the garbage truck drivers and employee's...MUST be unionized, since the cities/towns have union workers.

that's how it was back in my earlier years working for the now defunct BFI and doing a city route.
