Is not the average is how much you are willing to work... the difference between companies is not that great is more of the percentage and specialize freight

I heard Heniff pays the most as far as O/O tanker. Like 6-8k gross a week just need 2 yrs cdl experience. Did you ever know anybody doing those numbers or close to it at Quality Carriers?

Again yeah they might pay that much but how long do you have to stay on the road? How much of that is driver offload etc etc ..... qc will train you btw

It's all about the small details I know guys that make that on a regular trip but they work for it, but I also know guys that use their trucks as a lawn ornament and are going bankrupt so it's more of your working habits.

Ive been thinking about the move more an more. Do tanker guys stay busy? Or do they spend most of their time loading and unloading? ( i know there are factors to this but whats your personal experience?)

Generally, with diesel/gas in the summer we are as busy as we want to be, slows down some in the winter, but if you have to sit a day or three, that's the best time to sit! Just get ahead a bit in the summer to tide you over. Might be possible to switch to heating fuel in winter.

I'ma O/O right now with a mega carrier not making much. I don't mind offload ing , I need at least 6,000 gross to be truly happy .I'll stay out 3 weeks off 1 wek. Does QC pay their O/O s that much?

I know guys doing coast to coast making that In 4 days ex Charleston to Oregon 10k linehaul at 65% plus .34 cents a mile for fuel surcharge.. or philly to Roanoke tx for 4800 plus 7% on time that trip takes 3 days or less... I'm big on home time so I don't need 6k I'm fine at 3 to 4k staying in the chemical triangle and being home on weekends for my resets

You got that right! To many drivers get caught up in the " I gotta get these pineapples to Hawaii". Until I came to SLC, UT I NEVER made less than $105,000.00 a year as a company driver. But I ALSO drove 65-70 hrs a week EVERY week!!! But when I was transferred to SLC, I only worked about 45-50 hrs per week and was home taking a shower by 3 PM with 2 FULL days off every week. Sleeping in my own bed, dinner on the table, playing "fetch" with the dog and STILL making $80,000.00 a year.
It AINT about the money fellas. It's about quality of life. You go ahead and chase that "mirage".
I'll be enjoying a cold beer and a hot-dog at the Bees (triple A) game!!!
