A small yet reasonable accommodation would be to open all scales for truck parking.
We paid for those scales, why are we blocked out? Yes you need a trash can and maybe a porta-potty, but it's much cheaper than than mopping people up off the highway?

I would blame the construction crew that built the highway for not making the exit ramp shoulder wider. Or maybe the engineer that designed it. It's your own fault for parking there in the first place.

Building more space for a drivers rest won't get anyone elected or re-elected, nor will it make any corporations happy, so don't expect this to change anytime soon.

Exit ramps are too dangerous for Me to sleep. Just asking to get rear ended and found at fault for being there in the first place. If absolutely necessary an entrance ramp, while still illegal, is a safer bet.

I like big rest areas on I-70 in IN. Now imagine that all interstates have that kind of rest areas every 40-50 miles. How much will it coast to build ? Let's collect money . Our country is a poor country. There is only enough money to bomb some middle eastern countries and support Israel. No money for infrastructure and free heahtcare. Let's build it together truckers. I am ready to pay for that project $2-3k from my pocket.

Probably not going to win, answer is you can sue antone for anything, If you win or not thats the question.
If your sleeping on a ramp then you did not plan your trip correctly, thats not there fault its yours.

By the way I dont answer the door, set out reflectors flip your hood forward and goto bed. I dont answer the door for LEOS if Im in the sleeper, I also dont park on off ramps if avoidable
