Fortunately, i don't think that was microsleep. HOWEVER, it IS sign that you are sleepy and you NEED rest.
It's happened to me when i did regional OTR food service----where i ended up in a rest area----and had no idea how i got there!!!
If you cannot remember the last few miles driven, this is a sign you are sleepy and need to pull over asap!
i've experienced microsleep: PLEASE PULL OVER WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPY

Do a little study on the effects of coffee. It works somewhat to help you stay awake if, you just drink a cup or so in the mornings. Myself. I drink coffee from the time I get up till the time I go to bed, right before I go to bed. it does nothing to keep you awake if you drink a lot of coffee.
When I ran otr. I generally shut down late, and at a place where I could sit at a table or counter and have a waitress serve me. I would always go in and have a cup and unwind before hitting the bunk, even now I will usually get in sometime between midnight and 4 in the morning and the wife will have me a pot made, so I can have a fresh hot cup before hitting the hay.
I read the medical reasons for this years ago, but I can't remember them. -

Co driver named Benny? -
I spent more than a few 30 minute breaks taking a nap instead of having a snack. When the heavy eye lids start, it's time to pull over.
