That's what most people I know do, I might actually have to work then because I'm working on third week straight not working.

All you have to do is take a moment or a hour to go over everything to make like pretty steamboat. Without any problems. If having a problem get it fixed.

It is also a good time to take time off if at all possible. Inspection blitzes are good for time off somewhere in the USA taking in the local sights. I don't worry about inspections because one: they will find something somewhere and two if you have done your best and have the i's dotted and tees crossed there is nothing further to worry about. If there was something deviant about anything and you tried to pass through a checkpoint, it will be looked at closely.

Take your truck to a weigh station on the 3rd and ask for an inspection and get a sticker, then they will not mess with you.

It's not apparently. It's annually. Been going on for years. August and September also. Sometimes even October

I aw all inspection reports for a swift truck. All the way up the 5. For one trip.

Got a new sticker every time. But his journey took twice as long.

I've never purposely taken those dates off.
That said.. it's usually a lot more huff and puff than actual business.

You may see States like Arkansas, and New York, set up and doing pull through visuals and grab a truck when they see a red flag.
I've driven those 3 days and never been bothered at all... almost every time.

Keep your stuff on par like you should ANYWAY, and you'll have no probs.

I got a random level 2 on Sunday in South Dakota.
    I was ready.
When we were finished, he shook my hand and said "Thanks for being a professional and having all of your documents neat and readily available".

There were about 5 of us in there getting inspected.
I was the last one in.
    FIRST ONE OUT.
Each one of them had some fuster cluck of an issue that was needless.
    BOL not proper.
    ELD not functioning
    No registration
    On and on...

Don't make it hard on yourself.

Last year's blitz got me pulled over on the shoulder of hwy 380 between Decatur and Denton TX for a level 2.

Going to try taking hwy 114 to get out of dfw this time.

I wouldn’t really worry about it. Last years “blitz” only state I saw working heavier than usual was NC pulling hotshots and box trucks in (they like picking on these guys anyways). Everyone else was business as usual, West Virginia still couldn’t be bothered to open their scales. Tennessee did their blitz the week after trying to be slick I guess. As others have said have your stuff in order and don’t be a knucklehead, you won’t have an issue
