Didnt want to start a new thread, figured I'd bump an old one.
51.5 step here, so I should be fine overhanging 1-1.5 ft on the top deck on the front right? -
Yes front of deck is fine. That is why some tractors are stretch frame so you can stuff it over the front of the trailer deck without having a oversize OD etc.
Just be careful to add at least that much of stick out when you do your maneuvering.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Haha... end up with a new "window" in the sleeper.. lol
I have my 5th locked all the way, I never move it now that I have an open deck.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Do you know what states he running in? You should stay quiet if you’re going to give bad advice.spyder7723, cke and not4hire Thank this.

Under 53’ you should be fine every where but can’t swear to it.cke Thanks this.

Each state is different. Just gktta check the laws where ur goingg.. Down south it seems they dont like overhand.. Out west its alot of rebar coming out of cmc in arizona going to cali utah and colorado, ive seen guys with 45ft trailers pullin 60 ft rebar... I usually put it on my 53 ft and have em load it 4ft on front and 3 ft on back..never needed a permit
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Not ever where, n I can swear to it. Over here trailer and or load can be up to 48’ including overhang. Over 48’ total trailer and load length must be permitted or if divisible its ticketable. Ie 45’ trailer with 3’ overhang is fine/ 48’ trailer with 6” overhang not fine unless non divisible and permitted.
But somehow a trailer over 48 but 53 or less long is legal (with no overhang) as long as the Kpra spacing is correct.... so long as you don’t go more than a mile from staa routes, same as doubles. additionally, once your trailer is over 48’ in length, there’s a oal limit as well.
Man, #### this state.x1Heavy, spyder7723, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
See that’s why I added the I can’t swear to it part. To many variables.
