My favorite part of the day was when I was finished loading. A pair of those tall plastic corner strap guard things were laying on the floor. If those things have a name, I have long forgotten it. He proceeded to give me instructions on how to use them. Dam that was funny. He didn't even have two sentences out of his mouth before he said "Well, looks like you've done this before". Yup, only a million times lol.dwells40 Thanks this.

You talking about vee boards?tank4life Thanks this.

This is a first. Delivered in Fairburn, once empty was told to head to Albany. Only had 20 minutes left on my clock when I got here. I guess they're expecting beer in the morning.

The tall plastic boards with 90 degree corners on them that sit up against the pallets of beer and go between your straps and the beer. I don't have a name for them, not sure if I ever had one. They're always laying on the floor at the end of the load. Gotta lean them up against the beer before you tighten the straps...

Or paper from Cedar Springs maybe?

Grrr... The only time I'd get to see that guy is if I grabbed a load going to or coming from Michigan from somewhere south of that area. I'm never on the turnpike, it hurts too much. 1 more month...

I thought you just came through here, no?
Did something I never do tonight. Saddled up at the bar with my double Tanquery and tonic, man code dictated I had to sit next to another driver,,,, no bar stools left. Clean cut guy, 50ish and then it happened, he spoke to me. Arrrgggghhh! Me being a Southern Gentleman, I replied. ###### man. This guy was a cool cat, not drunk or anything that, just an interesting fellow who wasn’t #####in’ about his job. Come to find out, he’s a new driver working for Roehl. We spent two hours bs’n whilst eating supper. Come to find out, he was a Union steelworker and I was IBEW. Nice night with some intelligent convo.
Ok, I can already see the gay comments “coming”. Yes @Suspect Zero , there is another man in my life.
