He has a speeding ticket and one for overweight.
He has 7 years experience. He recently got a bi-v pacemaker due to a heart condition (not arrythmia and not considered pacemaker dependent). All due to what was considered borderline sleep apnea, which is now being treated by cpap). He has sleep reports also that show he is being treated effectively. His doc has cleared him to drive.
While my husband was being treated for the heart issue and out of work for a month is when the owner told him he could not afford the increase in Penske's lease rates. My husband wants to stay regional or local... did not want to be with any mega (and yes, we know WE is) and didn't want OTR anymore. Would love to be local. He has always been a "the glass is half empty" kind of guy and was not feeling too good about himself and life. -
"As a new hire with Western Express you now have the opportunity to enroll into your benefits on ADPVantage.adp.com. You are eligible to make these elections up to June 29, 2019, 30 days from your date of hire. If you do not enroll by June 29, 2019 you will be defaulted to NO COVERAGE. Your elections (including NO COVERAGE) will remain in effect unless you experience a family status change due to a qualifying event, or you elect to change coverage during November, our month of Open Enrollment."
It's not my impatience, it's his feelings of "this place is $#&^%@ up and I have a BAD FEELING about it. And yeah, he does not need to add WE's issues with CSR to his own... He's trying to stick it out and get something first, and yeah, I'm telling him to RUN! Doubt seriously that leaving "without notice" would be held against him by anyone in this case.jethro712 Thanks this. -
Which terminal is he at?

It will be. Believe it.
Quits, Abandonment, anything of those lines once a Company recognizes it and particularly has to go recover a potentially damaged or stripped rig and load... they record it in a database accessible by any other trucking company he applies to in the future. The net effect would be if bad enough make him unhireable in this industry among the employers who use the database. Forcing him into say local dump truck work or such companies without databases or actually caring about his rough history if any.
If there is a problem with WE and it could very well be ... August is not too far off. Two months. He can kick around like any newbie relative to WE for a couple months stay out of conflicts and leave gracefully with a two week notice, turning in truck etc.
Once august and three years since last snag has passed he should be able to hire on else where.
I have gone to companies in the past to hire on only to examine the yard and hear the profanity and bad mouthing in the truckers room followed by chaos in dispatch on what should be a quiet monday morning. I would engineer a botched situation and get out of there. Without them dinging me for anything. Whoops. Forgot that important paper or something. Oh well.
The reason I am just spectulating is that He did not indicate what the problem itself really is this week with him and you thinking the things you are today. If it is about waiting? His assigned DM's should be his advocates and learn the situation higher up related to him usually the Operations Manager who knows pretty much where all the trucks are buried more or less. -
Please feel to PM me. Doubt I can help...but I’ll see if I can do anything.
I do know that last week I watched another 15 brand new Prostar tractors show up.
Anyway...let me know if I can help. -
You would think that if they had a 4 day wait tractors get there from the east coast if need be...

He must be trying to get on the van side. It was pretty common for guys to wait on trucks in the van side when I was there. Switch to flatbed if that's the case
Lonesome Thanks this.
