I’m thinking of buying 4 8” corner guards like the flatbedders use. I’ve been on so many LaCrosse loads lately where they don’t provide the separators. I loosely strap in the loads so as not to damage the cases and drive like I’m hauling Kidd gloves. Nope, f a load lock.

I think I'd rather do beer. Plus if they are anticipating that I pick up on Cedar Springs, it would've been better/faster/shorter if they'd sent me in that direction. I could've parked at that Huddle House in Blakeley and started my clock much closer in the morning.

What a strange day. 270 bobtail miles, 40 loaded miles, 250 deadhead miles finally make it to shipper with just 20 minutes on my 14 there was no load. So here I sit in someone’s gravel lot hoping not to be noticed.

I was planning on it. Switched directions and went to another spot. I get hives when thinking about tolls.

If pallets are wrapped and skidded, steer clear of straps without a guard. There was a guy while I was there that wrapped the back with straps and had no dividers. The rear two pallets collapsed. Got pulled over because liquid was dripping from the trailer (unbeknownst to him) and lost two pallets of beer. Bye bye future. If they don't give you what you need, snap pics and carry on. CYA, always.

Squeamish, I hate that feeling. We’re scum, we’re bottom feeders. They can’t think beyond getting off work and getting to their miserable ### home. We’re nothing to them but we make their job.

It didn’t used to be like this. I digress. :-(

I bought some just as soon as I got in my own truck because of those loads. I recommend them.

If you didn't feel like one before, you do now. You're a trucker for sure. Ain't it awesome? It sucks how people treat us, which is why I bend over backwards for the ones who treat me right. I'd walk through fire for the broker who gave me tomorrow's load. This will be the 5th or 6th time I've hauled this run. The mutual respect we have for each other has been an unparalleled experience for me in trucking. I'm going to try to pull him to the dark side when I leave Landstar.
