Truck cut power anytime especially when climbing hill and you have to stop and start again to regain any power. It seems to happen less when temperature is colder. Once you start you are OK until the next time it happens and the cycle continues.
No codes in ECM. Install test ECM and the same thing happens Check for Leaks in charged Air system. I have check all sensors. Check power to ECM and grounds. Check EGR valve. Everything OK
Any ideas

check engine data related with engine protection.
can you read engine protectiona data with DDDL?
Is it DEEC-V? read engine parameters? try to disabel engine protection parameters one by one till you find the problem.
Check EGR data, especially Delta pressure sensor for wrong reading. Try to dive with disconnected delta sensor.
check VSS, ABS. I had the same issue with Volvo. tires of diifferent brands and wrong rear ABS sensors speedo reading. ABS/ASR compares vehicle speed and rear axe speed and cuts power via ASR function. Try to disable ASR with Wabco Toolbox -
I have the same problem with my 98 DD s60. I'm taking it in to the shop tomorrow in the afternoon. Will keep you posted. -
your engine is w/o EGR. usually low fuel pressure issue.
his engine is with EGR. sometimes EGR does keeps open for some seconds, and delta sensor reads flow of exaust gas and limits fuel to avoid smoke. then when EGR is closed fully ECM adds fuel and engine revs up. and it is usuall thing when ECM stores no codes. We call it lazy EGR issue. Usually ash deposits inside.
to be sure I do test rund with computer in cabone and carefully look at EGR flow reading.
Infortunatly there is no fuel pressure sensor on DD60 (like on Volvo).RubyEagle Thanks this. -
I learn something new every day.
What about a fuel injector problem? -
the only way - measure fuel pressure.
I do it with gauge on hose. I put it under the wiper and drive up a hill. I can see fuel pressure drop!
Volvo engine unit monitors fuel pressure and stores codes. DD - not! So gauge may help you! -
