When did you check your coolant level last??
-
I checked it this morning when the codes came on and I had to put almost a gallon and a 1/2 in there. The coolant was right at or below the sensor. I filled it up with coolant and drove it for about 10 minutes
-
The truck did not run hot or anything. I just don’t want to mess anything up
-
You have a leak it seems. Or you may need a new radiator, and reservoir.
-
Sorry I forgot to mention I put a new Radiator and reservoir in 2 days ago
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
I put 9 gallons of coolant in there when I put it in I think I was at least 1 gallon short. I did drive the truck 300 miles after I put the radiator and reservoir on . No leaks and truck didn’t run hot
-
You may just be working the air bubbles out.
Next time you park let cool down than run it with the reservoir cap off if you can park front of truck uphill that would be better. Run at high idle with full heater on.
I've also drove with reservoir cap off for an few hours while trailer is full of load. -
Thanks
