Any hotshot truckers using their insurance? Do you have a problem getting loads?

Nobody uses OOIDA? Progressive quotes are too high so I'm considering OOIDA insurance. Can someone let me know, because I have seen post stating that some brokers won't accept OOIDA insurance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OOIDA has a tendency to hook new Independent Owner Operators up with the worst insurance provider which is Lloyd's of London. Smart Brokers, and Shippers will not load Independent Owner Operators, or Carriers that have insurance with Lloyd’s Of London. You see, Lioyd’s of London is a offshore insurance provider (based in England) and in order to make them pay out on a claim you/they have to go to England to sue them. They’re notorious for not paying off.

I got a pretty high rate when I checked progressive... it was like 13.5K and then about 3 weeks later they re-quoted me down to about 8.5K. Might be worth a shot, their rates change daily.

    Bluedew Thanks this.

$4800 for 6 months in full. $9450 for a year in full. $11500 for payment plan in a year. Texas. Progressive. 2016 f350 comp/ collision. 2019 pj 36’. 100k/ 1mil. Unlimited mileage interstate. And some other minor doo dads. Brand new cdl. Brand new dot. But I’m a usaa member. They say I get a discount. 775 credit score. Excellent driving record. unmarried (again ) Had cdl before. I trust progressive which is worth some money to me to be protected.
