Its sad that theres a group of us drivers that has ruined parking for us at some of these walmarts. I always call ahead if im planning on stopping at a wally, my truckstop book has all the walmarts in it that allow truck parking. An ill almost always go in and buy something so just in case I get asked I have a receipt. Also for info the Walmart in my town of Winona MN allows trucks there and actually have a dirt part in there lot for trucks to park.

Here is a link to a page made by someone in the RV community:
    http://www.allstays.com/c/wal-mart-locations.htm
They have them all mapped out on google maps and coded as to which ones allow large vehicles and which ones don't. It's kind of clunky to use, but it's still pretty useful.

I want to mention that it is not only truckers that is urinating in public.... While on vacation in Tucson Arizona to visit family and friends. We stopped at a Walmart for a couple of nights in our RV. I actually caught a couple cops and several guys urinating on the side of Walmart building where the dry river beds are. SO I know it isn't just truckers making a mess. People litter and do things as well.

Being on the road, my pet peeve is smelling the peelot!!! it is so nasty and it even feels sticky to walk on. I've also caught so many truckers urinating and wonder why they are so lazy... Why not walk to the store to use the bathroom? IT's good exercise and we sure do need it! Clots develop in the leg from sitting so much, it is best to keep your blood circulating by walking.

When we were new to trucking several years ago, we didn't know better about LA. (Cali). With heavy traffic, we were running out of hours on our 14 hr and had to park somewhere. We couldn't find a truck stop near by and didn't know about the TA's in Ontario. We saw a Walmart lot that we parked in and asked the security if it was ok to park there. The security said yes. Went in to talk to manager to ask if it was ok with them to stay overnight. She said yes.

We went to bed, and it was about 11 pm when someone was banging on our door over and over. Hubby answered and it was security. But a different man. He said we had to move. Hubby explained that we were out of hours and could not legally move. He didn't understand it and still told us to leave. It did not matter to him that the manager was ok with us staying there. So we told him to call the police. The police came out, were very friendly and didn't understand the logs. After some explanation, they realize that we could not legally move but asked if we could move to a warehouse behind Walmart. We called the co we worked for at the time and they said not to move unless the police escorted us. So it was resolved once the police escorted us out to the warehouse and we left as soon as 10 hr break was over. So we don't even try to park at Wamart overnight at all. It was somewhat a good learning experience! <G>

Another Walmart I love going to just because the parking is easy is in Evanston, Wyoming I-80 exit 5. I think it's x5. Easy access, easy out! <G>

Seems to me it would have been better to have been in the truck stops across the street for a 34.

There is a Wal-Mart on the East side of Denver # I-70+Tower RD that has about 10 or so parking spots dedicated to trucks.
I am not a Wal-Mart fan but I do shop there sometimes.

More ammo for the wal mart hating crowd...The store just of 70 west of Dayton had two tow trucks pulling rigs off the lot. Couldn't tell you how long they were parked there prior to getting the hook.
