i need to run from lexington,NC to smyrna,de.
planned to take US 301 from md and cut over to US 13 on either 299 or 896
neither rte has a low bridge or restriction in the atlas but they are not designated truck rt's
anybody been this way or has PC miler/CO-Pilot that could run the trip plan would be appreciated:yes2557:

Hey Pat, i'd take 300 east right into Smyrna. Where you headed to in Smyrna and when? I live 10 min. from Smyrna.

I see trucks run in on it all the time...Wal-Mart DC is on 300. There are a couple rinky dink towns you go thru. You parking for your 10 hr. break, or to kill some time before your appointment? There is an empty lot on 13 that used to be the Smyrna diner. It's about a mile past the DC. They had a sign there that said "no truck parking" at one time, but I didn't see it there one day last week, and 3 trucks were parked there. There's also a parking lot before 13 on the left, that used to be an Acme supermarket, but it's a kids bowling-arcade place now. If you were going to be here during the week, I'd park there but the place is full of cars on the weekend.

Just thought of something Pat, you could probably drop the trailer at the DC and bobtail into town...that would be much easier. I see trucks do it all the time...as a matter of fact, I seen an Arnold truck yesterday in town.

Hey Pat, the wife and I went out to dinner last night and drove past that lot, and the "no truck parking" sign is back up.
