UPS Freight Diary:

i actually, officially, run Sun-Thurs, but i don't do hub work. i shuttle sunday nights.

Only other stuff i can report:

1) bichmond improving, but still bichmond.

2) we got a KW, but it doesn't have enough caster. Also fuel tanks are TOO small---sometimes i have to fill up TWICE in one night. Also some trucks only have ONE tank......

3) i LOVE MY TERMINAL MANAGER. (in a platonic way)

YES, I OFFICIALLY DECLARE THAT I LOVE ANOTHER MAN AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT.

 

Theoretically yes. As it turns out, things are so busy on friday night, i usually get called............and since i need money (still not driving a suburban), i half-cheerfully go in a lot of the time, but not all the time.

IF you happen to run out of hours on a friday night---and have to take hours in a hotel, what likely happens is, after your 10 hr break is over and it's now saturday, dispatch now asks you to do "favors" for them----do some extra running. Now, this is not necessarily bad----because more $$$.

Yes, i paid 11K total.

i did not adjust withholding yet.

 

Wow. i did not think i had worked that much last week, then again it was a blur. This check is making me reconsider staying on the road.

Sorry i have not posted checks lately----been busy.

Can't think of anything else to report right now. If you have any specific questions, i can try to answer them.

 

i found this older check in a pile, possibly on the floor. i thought i would post it so as to illustrate what one could expect at the 2yr pay rate. Note the high overtime hourage:



It's also interesting to note that, compared to the last check i posted, that i worked possibly the same (or at the most 2-3 hours more, 65) AND at night and grossed about $530 more.

Was it worth it? Keep in mynd that with this city check from 2yrs ago that i slept good and normal every night.
