Sure why not.
No one listens to me anyway ... -
Sometimes we do when it's a topic you're well versed in.

Copy old post. Hit, Repeat.QuietStorm Thanks this.

oh you speak for everyone ... ok ...

Only the people that recognize the significance at what you said when you admitted that you lacked the engineering skills necessary and were incapable of making the Anytone
AT-6666 sound the way you wanted it to sound. It's very possible I might be the only person who understood the deeper meaning of what you said, in which case no I'm not speaking for everyone, only the observant folks capable of paying attention and understanding what they are reading.
You kind of opened up a can of worms when you admitted you didn't have those engineering skills yet you want us to think your opinion matters when you tell us that someone else does not have those skills that you also do not have. This is precisely the dunning-kruger effect where you lack the skills to be able to determine if someone else has those skills that you are lacking. Without those skills how would it be possible to make that determination? I'm sure you know a lot about a lot of things and I'm sure you're great at a lot of things and those are the things that I pay attention to when you offer advice because I know that you know what you're talking about when it comes to that particular subject matter, especially when it comes to running a business.Last edited: Jun 4, 2019

Boy did I save then. My Superwackpack General Lee was $270 shipped. And it’s still all original from 2007 with volted finals, getting unsolicited compliments all the time. That convict could work on radios.

ok what ever you say there rabbi, you could have said all of that in two sentances.
By the way when did you get your engineering degree? -
I got my mcse in 2002. It has no relevance to the topic at hand though.

I'm sure they said it to one specific voltage regardless of what the curve looks like. Like they say, close enough for government work.
Once you realize that every transistor has a different curve it would all make sense that each one should have a slightly different voltage in order to achieve identical results or the same curve. The engineer's knew exactly what they were doing to achieve a specific result at a specific price point using components with sloppy tolerances.
It's kind of like General Motors Engineer Ed Cole knew exactly what he was doing when he designed the Chevy small block V8 in 1955, but that doesn't stop Andrew Randolph, the technical director from Earnhardt Childress Racing (ECR) from making drastic improvements to that engine. Anything can be blueprinted and balanced and made more efficient if you're willing to dump money into something. That's what they do at NASCAR instead of slapping crate motors into NASCAR race cars.
