Today I had a physical. During the DOT physical process it was just like any other time, until the real DR came in(or should i say 2). I had 2 previous physicals here no issues and today they got me for the sleep apnea test. After trying to talk to the Dr about it she never told me she was going to down grade to a 1 year and give me time until after the fact. a little upset I had some choice words but I accepted it. She then had another Dr come in and this guy just starts castrating me about prior BP meds that I was taking 2.5 years ago. I told him that I wasn't on any prescriptions for BP and that I was taken off them. He refused to believe me and gave me no option to try and at least get my primary to send over a fax to confirm. So at that point a man is calling me a liar so I told him that I'm done and ill get a second opinion. He gave me my long forum and I did complete the drug test and everything else besides him signing off on my card. It's crazy how you can go from a 2 year to basically nothing so fast.. I feel as if I was discriminated because he didn't believe I was not on medication, not that he has to but he wouldn't even let me try to get anything to show that I wasn't from my Primary DR. how is that even legal? just another day in the life....

Stick to the little clinics that don't share info. But it sounds like you flying off the handle didn't help your case

I'm no Dr but I have had some medical training & background. Usually, and most of the time, once on BP meds, you're always on them. As far as I know, BP doesn't correct itself. If you need it to control your BP, then you always need it.... generally speaking. I cant say for certain that its always the case, but its my experience. Again, I am no Dr nor have I ever specialized in blood pressure.
I am assuming that was his reasoning for questioning the situation.

Now, if grandma died & you were taking something for a couple of weeks for an elevated BP, I'd agree. But that isn't normally something you're prescribed BP meds for. Normally, when grandma passes, you get something like Valium etc.
My point is, I am not your Dr so I dont know your specific, individual & person history.... so I cant say. I'm just speculating on his reasoning. Honestly, I probably wouldn't buy it either based on my limited medical experience & training. Like him, I'd want to confirm too.

In short, I think it was a medical & professional reason. I dont think you were being discriminated against.

    Good luck :)

So she downgraded to a year card for sleep apnea? Is she requiring a sleep test?

This is exactly what happens when you go to a DR one time in a few years and he doesn't remember you or anything about you or any provided documentation you last gave him at that time of your last physical with him. I'm a big guy always have been. I was flown out to J&R schugel about 4 years ago and my BP was elevated. So they let me stay if I was to be put on BP meds. Just getting into the industry I accepted this and they let me sit in a hotel for an extra week while the medication ran its course. During this time I was on that and it did take my card down to a one year card. After I left J&R schugel I went back home and talked to my primary about working to get off these medications. She agreed with weight loss, and readings with her and documented at home throughout a years time that we could possibly get off of one or both. In that years time I was able to do exactly what she wanted to that point that she wrote me a note explaining that I do indeed have white coat syndrome and that my BP reading wont be accurate without the right cuff, and If I was nervous. I was removed from all DP medication in 2017.

Now, If I'm a DR I'm not believing any of that either. Although, for him to not give me the time of day to at least prove my point with a fax from my primary isn't wrong? I feel that it is wrong on a few different levels.

Basically I'm not going back there and I'm going to have to most likely get downgraded and get the test done through another DR recommendation. that's completely fine. The other part of the not giving me a chance to get a note from my primary to prove I'm not on and was taken off BP is just another entire different issue I feel.

Most times if they require a sleep test, they will give you a 90 day card and require testing. If you do have sleep apnea, they'll require 30 days of cpap compliance before they'll extend it to the full year.

I talked to a driver once who required that CPAP machine. Said he wore it while driving so they’d see he was wearing it. He also worked a second driving job after that one running another log book. Neither company knew about the other. Said he was making great money, but of course actually only getting about 4 hours of sleep.

She/he fed you a line of bull. CPAP data includes far more than just the mask is being worn.

    Yes.

ALL doctors in Arkansas for example are now required mandatory to check the Pharmacy Monitoring Board Online Living depository of all prescriptions you have ever been dispensed in your life particularly narcotics and mental health medicines.

People who fill the medicines write it into the database among other things like ER doctors filling the order.

All other doctors, nursing and any medical or pharmacy person capable of making a decision for yes or no for anything is required by law to view that database under you. Last month Arkansas provided a new law allowing Pharrmacists to refuse to dispense medicine until after your 30th day from last fill date. OR refusing based on prescription irregularity or fear you are overdosed.

BEFORE they come into the office after you have been sitting 20 minutes.

I hate to be difficult. The last three years of any doctor for any reason whatsoever has come into a form of discrimination against my existence inside the Trauma Bay, doctors office or whatever medical for whatever reason, a sniffle, a boo boo or a ow or something broken.

I am growing tired of the discrimination based on my situation. My clinic doctor has more than given me a complete freedom off contract so no one can fight me or him. I grow weary learning the 4 standard interrorgation panels ranging from 19 questions to 44 questions per CDC for detecting from Pain Patients if they are abusing, diverting, selling or whatever. With a matrix of questions designed to fact extract from same.

A DOT medical test last month did not go well. Hence my decision to stay the hell out of it. Even though BP, no meds and so on was carefully constructed, the PMB revealed a range of oppertunities for the doctor to come in and then start questioning as if I committed mass murder by machine gun against school children or something.

I got up and left. He said hey this DOT form is not finished. I told him it's been that way #### near 15. I'll be around long after you are gone. He turned beet red.
