Looks like the fleet wide message that went out today fits in well here...
All late loads will result in the driver being written up for the service failure. Only late loads that the driver has said from the beginning were not going to be delivered on time due to hours or another acceptable reason will be allowed.
There was no way in hell my last load was going to make it on time, I Q-commed from the very beginning & was yelled at about it from the very start.
They had to go E-logs to keep us all legal & now they are mad that we won't run "supertrucker" for them any more.
This place sucks, stay away.

That sounds about right for most larger companies. Its bever their own fault. ###### if ya do ###### if ya dont.
skullitor Thanks this. -
That is so true!
-
So my question to you guy's is if you tell them you cant deliver on time in a safely manner can they axe you? According to the message you recieved Brickman, sounds like they cant really do anything can they?
-
Other then just making your time on the road a living hell, no not really.
But I'm sure that once you rack up enough service failures they will just axe you & bring in another of their top of the line students that received only the best training money could buy to replace you with. -
That's what they did to me! Most of the time it was the load managers and dispatchers that caused my load to be late. Not only that, but a lot of the time my reffers would act up, makig me pull over and check the codes and such. I only caused 2 late loads due tomy own stupididity. I'd love todrive for Central again, I actually miss it, but I don't now who I'd talk to about getting back on with them.

I had a long streak of loads that were late all because of the FM I had... So he got fired.
Sorry about what happened to you man, but you are better off fliping burgers then being on the road right now. -
I think that it is probably safe to say stay away from this company. It appears that they are taking advantage of their newbies and that even their experienced drivers don't have much of a reply denying these accusations about this company. All I have to say is this: When you find another job quit these guys. They aren't worth the sacrifices that we make on the road. I would never work for people like this. This is obviously another one of the bad ones. The only question is why are experienced drivers staying with them? Just wondering?
-
They all try very hard to do everything the right way. Dispatchers try very hard to keep drivers happy. I know that everyone wants to work together to make it one big happy family.
You hang in there driver and everything will be fine and soon you'll make lots and lots of money. -
I'm happy with my little corner of the world, I know my FM does all she can do keep me moving. Fright is down for everybody right now & for us it seems like the mid-west is REAL bad right now along with So Cal, I just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Looks like I might be sitting where I am until Monday now.
