IMHO that isn't sad, that resourcefulness.

The only time I ever had the need to engage the power divider on a smooth paved road was pulling 110,000 gross weight with a neutered (EGR) 400 hp Cummins up a 20% grade in eastern Ohio. That's the only time I felt the need to unbuckle the seat belt and open the driver's door. I didn't know if the parking brake would hold if I stalled out.

That hill looks pretty ###### steep. It wouldn't surprise me if it was in the neighborhood of 20%.

Started trying to lose weight back on 5-12 at 476.6
This morning on the scale I passed the 20 pound mark at 456.2
Still more to go, the real trick is just to eat less and avoid the foods that makes the weight spike.

No home centers near this place. Only home style bar b q's and buffets. And a KFC. And a DQ. There's an AMBEST with a chrome shop too. Pretty much everything you need.

Well the fuel tank is off as well as the valve cover. I hope I dont need to get at the bottom end as the oil pan is the frame and there is no way to get at the rods or the oil sump short of splitting the tractor. Bad design if you ask me. Normally there is a plate that can be unbolted.

I spent an hour trying to drain the radiator that is still full. I spent 2 hours trying to find wrenches that probably left with the ramp truck. The radiator drain when opened wont drain. The front axle is in the way to unscrew the radiator drain. The fan shroud is welded together so I cant get at the radiator drain. I cant get on it with a socket either as the ears of the drain are in the way.

The alternative is to remove a lower radiator hose. Well a prior owner mangled the screw driver slot. So I figured I would get a quarter inch drive on there and loosen it. IE the tools that are not here anymore.

After paying the bills last week. As well as not having been paid for the mowing I did yesterday. I dont have the money to go and buy a cheap set of quarter inch driven sockets. I hope the present owner of the ramptruck appreciates the tools I left them. Sigh

65° and light overcast in Oregon. Smells wonderful in the lumber yard.

I’ll be grossed out and creeping up siskiyou in no time. Wave as you go by...

So. I drive all the way to Georgia to take Opus a bottle of Stinger, and he's not even home.

So, I start driving home. What do I find. This giant F mountain. There's not supposed to be giant F mountains back here. And why did they build the interstate right over the top of it anyway?

So. I get to the top of this giant F mountain, and there's a Pilot. And I'm low on time. So I pull in the Pilot. And it's the hugest fuster cluck in the history of the world. It must be the only place to buy fuel for like a 1,000 miles in any direction.

So. Some dude leaves. So, I got like the only spot in a 1,000 miles in any direction I think.
