Aside from exercise I'm looking for suggestions on lowering and managing my blood pressure. What's best as far as diet? How about supplements? Thoughts and Ideas welcome.

No salt or caffeine. Also no alchohol or smoking.
Can also be caused by stress.

Suck it up, go to your doctor and get on meds. Yeah, you have to get a physical every year, but you don't have to worry about BP. Your not going to lower it overnight with diet. Also, get some exercise and lose some weight.

This last month and a half I had to deal with my B/p proactively. I'd never been diagnosed by my provider-who was reluctant to place me on meds(saying I was a youngish 63 year old who could work out, run more, etc. When I saw a Doctor in the ER about wheezes I had, all that changed, to include cardiac stress test with nuclear camera pre-and-post.
I am on Losartan, an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker, or ARB. They have fewer side effects. It must be monitored daily. I was not that heavy at 210, but well past 198 where I was in the Navy five years ago when retired. I do the protein lifestyle(easier than dieting)by avoiding carbs whenever possible. I still eat the bread on sandwiches on the road though. Try that with Keto weight loss from HPI Health...You will be shocked at the control you regain over weight by burning fat in Ketosis, the body's own way of using fat for energy production.

I have wrestled with really bad BP. I defeated it at 21 for trucking and with recent surgery and inappropriate dosing of pain medicine of the wrong kind (Example they give you Tylenol mixed with hydros instead of IV morphine or Demerol in small muscular amounts. After surgery creating bigger pain and other issues. (Liver)

At around 180 over 120 in the ER bay with the second "Bounce Back" due to a broken joint I told the doctor after he already explained that the BP is due to medicine failure. That BP is a old enemy from 21 in trucking and it is considered out of control most of last year and part of this. Essentially I told him that no doctor to that night has any balls to prescribe any medicine for BP or whatever. Should I have to go to the cardiologist and stroke on his table or what? (A lineage killer in several generations of part of my family)

That doctor heard me loud and clear and prescribed a very good quality beta blocker in a couple of doses per day and night. Atenolol (Tenormin). Dropped the BP down to 130 over 70 and held it there for a month give or take a little. With a couple of days as low as 100 over 60 which is STILL normal, stable.

It broke the cycle of the problem with the BP related to the heart out put. One would burn out the other. When it does Im dead. It's that simple.

I am running without it now. Some days are better than others. One meal per day and a good one. Fluids without caffinee and salt etc most of the day. BP is checked.

If I was stressed? Boom. BP is into stroke range. For me presently it is not a problem. But eventually if I am overweight or obese or some other stupid contribution problem it will hurt real bad or kill.

    No stress. Fix it.

THAT I think is the biggest problem in our society. One solution is to move out of Baltimore out west/south where there is no need to sleep on the floor against stray rounds. (Hardwood joists about a foot thick 3 inches across times two floors and brick exterior etc.) Maryland and Arkansas are two totally different blood pressure results, one is not good at all and the other is related to my medicines.

In my pain medicine, I stopped several permanently. Primarily synthetics. (Finally) BP values continue to fall.

I have detected a new influence on BP. If I hydrate too much BOOM there it goes. If I dehydrate after a stupid fat meal? Down it goes. Just the other day Im sitting there feeling like 500 pounds and took BP 80/50 That's not good at all. darn meal. So.. am working on not being such a carnivore.

Road food makes me shudder in a form of horror thinking how bad it can hurt you. Just be very careful what you put into your mouth.

But I will have my coffee. No one will take that away. I do cut back on it. After a gallon a night running out of that old 64 ounce mug on the floor for years, two little cups is not a problem.

I no longer drive. However, when I drove I did carry a few extra pounds and ate a lot of the junk out there on the road. because of this, I had a very difficult time with my physicals when the FMCSA dropped the top number from 160 to 140 a while back. I was in the 165 to 170 ranger over 85 to 95 most of the time. That was then.

Today I have lost a good bit of weight and watch what I eat very closely. I made an error today in another post that I need to correct about my medications. I forgot my doctor has put me on Jardiance to help with an undisclosed issue. This medication is a water pill that will draw sugar out of your body, and it has some other uses. I have noticed this past week my blood pressure runs now in the 112 to 120 over 60 range down several numbers since last month. I can never recommend a trucker take a water pill and try to drive, but this pill will help drop blood sugar as well as blood pressure.
