Very good point, why have equipment from a few different companies if you can get EVERYTHING you need from one?

Cat also know that they have a huge following of drivers that live & die by those big yellow power plants. That will give them a built in customer platform as soon as their stuff hits the dealers.

I grew up on heavy equipment & know that you can't just be blindly loyal to one provider. You need to get whats best for the money you are going to be spending...

So its a good thing I don't have my own company, because I grew up on Cat equipment & thats all I will every use. Big yellow never failed me & I'm very interested in seeing what they have up their sleeves.

That's a good point also. I just hope they come out with a decent product, if its nothing more than a rebadged Eagle with a Cat engine and transmission most customers out here will be very disappointed.

I'm sure thats how they will start out, it might be more cost effective to start with something thats already in production. However once they start getting some time under their belts I'm sure they will come up with something thats a full Cat original product.
