I can’t solder worth beans. So Ridgelines comments about crimp-on style have caused to start YET ANOTHER list of tools & supplies. However good or bad I am, I’d rather be able to DIY installs. Especially as it’s just time and some effort. After all Step One ain’t having to power down a nuke reactor to get access.

Has anyone tried the TOP GUN TEC antenna adaptors & HD stud for the 680?

Just got into a new 2020 T680 ( same pos as 2019) , and I cant stress enough, if you plan on using factory antenna mounts take the time to remove the metal plate and scrape off powder coating underneath where stud makes contact, it will improve the swr, Tx and Rx 100%, I just took the time yesterday to do it and it makes a big difference, just as it did in the 2019.
