No employee in MSXN comes as close as the Hartmann's to being crooks...NOBODY! These guys have stolen over $5 million from their employees and did it not once but twice. The last insurance plan was not as they presented..it was set up so they, once again, could control the money going to it.
As the employees in Kansas went to jail, so shall the Hartmann's. The FBI is on this already and the DOL has been on it since 2006 and they are now getting a whole lot of new complaints. So to that bum defending the Hartmann's, you can kiss my Missouri you know what. There were thieves in most terminals but the biggest Ran the company.

 

Contact your local FBI and tell them the story...I did and they are looking into it right now. The DoL has been investigating since 2006 contact them...I did and they forwarded my story on to the Chicago branch that is handling this. The more that speak out the better our chances are of seeing justice. At this point, I do not care about the money, which is useless anyway, seeing them locked up would be just fine. Once a crime has been established, then their personal property comes into question and they are no longer able to hide behind the Corparation....then maybe some money could be gotten.

 

Loosing our job is not the reason! We have been violated!! Our employer out right stole from us. The estimated amount and counting is $6,000,000 dollars in insurance premiums. The employees are not out only that amount, but millions have been paid out of pocket to keep bill collectors happy. Now after having our insurance premiums stolen, we have to pay or file bankruptcy for the non paid Health Provider Bills.

The stories of stolen tires is bogus. Those of you that drove for the thieves, think back. How long has it been going on? Trucks past service 80,000 miles or more and running on bad tires? How long? Fuel bills not being paid? Our tires were not being stolen, there was not any tires.

These thieves had this planned for months. They have been putting the money some place other than into the company. They canceled our insurance plan, the new one! December 31 and even though the bankruptcy was not filed until the end of March, they kept right on taking our money.

 

Wow ... Please forgive me, my thread were never meant to defend the Hartmanns. I was just saying that there is more to the story then just the Hartmanns being CROOKED. I fully understand they were the owners and what the did effected everyone. But there were people out that did not help the cause either.

I worked in a terminal where I had the chance to meet a lot of the drivers and most of them were good decent men and a few good women. My heart bleeds for them. I am in the same boat w/ the rest of you, my medical bills were never paid and now they are going after my house and whatever else they can get. I just hope that someday we all can get pasted this and move w/ our lives. There is nothing I can do the change what is happening to myself and my family. All the lawsuit in the world is not going to fix it. I wonder if I lose my house if the Hartmanns will let stay in their vacation home in WI until I get back on my feet .....hmm that's a thought !

Does anyone remember when John Oto and Joe Baker was in charge ... When they used to send out the little cartoons weekly where the employee group was on the ship and they were throwing out the RATS ? Well I think the RATS have taken over the boat and the employees are the ones who are drowning in the water.

As for the tires yes they were stolen by a shop manager and his kid (or some relation) but its not the whole reason as to why this company went down but it did help.

So again,

I am not defending the Hartmann's I am just saying there are more people out there to blame for this company folding then the Hartmann Brothers.

Today, we were in the bankruptcy court in Chicago along with our Payroll Administrator and our Attorneys. Our Attorneys had made motions to the court to allow the wage issues to be addressed immediately. Amcore Bank opposed these motiions. The Judge ruled on a number of motions and issues, however the wage issues will not be brought before the court again until May 6, 2009. Our attorneys are working hard to get this resolved. Unfortunately since the bank is fighting everything, the bank is causing delays in the resolution of the wage issues. We wish we had better news for everyone. We hope that you understand that Mid-States is trying to get all earned wages paid as quickly as is possible. As we receive further updates they will be posted.

yes i'm 100% sure that the hartmans want to make sure every employee gets whats owed to him or her but this #### crooked amcore bank has stopped them in there tracks........THE HARTMANS AND JOHNSON ARE FULL OF SH@T!!!! remeber why the hartmans finally started giving up the aurora fast frieght wages that were owed? the large amount of death threats!!!!!

and the few tires we did get were so cheap(i was told 30-40 bucks a tire) no one in their right mind other than the cheap ### hartmans would buy those. they never got stolen. find something better to do than post lies on the internet,johnston.

 

Forget about the past wages...what about the thousands of dollars they stole from us using their insurance scam..what about the thousands we will be out paying the insurance bills.....? Far as the tires go..Standing in a tire shop while they were installing those Chinese tires on my truck I noticed one hanging on a fence with a sign saying, "do not use these tires". It was all blown out. Who in their right mind would steal Chinese tires that no body wanted but Mid-States? Get a life and a clue...these guys stole from us and they are living the fat life. I am patiently awaiting to hear from the FBI concerning FRAUD.....HAS YOU INSURANCE BILLS BEEN PAID? NO! DID THEY COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU TO PAY THEM? YES! end of story!!

 

The question of tire theft keeps popping up here and I'm wondering why?? Is the person bringing this up honestly think this is what brought Mid-States to its knee's?? It would take a boat load of stolen tires to put this company under!!! STOP , Stolen tires are not the issue here,yes it may be part of the equation (if true) along with all the theft that has accured at Mid-States!! Theft's at Mid-States are No secrete to anyone and just like everything else poorly managed at Mid-States. I often wondered why better security was not provided and/or proper steps taken to help prevent theft??Answer they didn't want to SPEND the money!!! Start thinking of what really caused this company to go under and why the so called (crooked Bank) stopped lending money to Mid-States !!Hmmm lets see here now Mid-States took everyone insurance premiuim's but failed to pay medical bill's,Mid-States failed to pay for fuel until forced to ,Mid-States failed to pay for tires until forced to,Mid-States failed to pay parts vendors until forced to,the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on!!!!! Most of Mid-States terminals were piles of crap and they didnt stick a lot of money into those!! So, the question remains where did the money go that was brought in??? Mid-States had customers everyone knew that,so where did the money go????? The money had to go somewhere!!!!! Oh by the way,I beleive nothing just happens!!! I beleive the Hartmanns were planning to go belly-up weeks before and I dont beleive for one minute asking the employees to take a pay cut had anything to do with helping save the company I beleive it had everything to do saving them MONEY!! I wish a national news organization would pick this story up and investigate just what the hell happened here!!! I feel really bad for everyone of you and I hope GOD will look over you and I hope the economy starts turning around so you can all get back to work !!!!! I've been following the Hartmans' escapades and Mid States since the opening in Columbus Ohio. I met Brad and Terry once for about 5 minutes, I knew then I would never work for them or their company. Too smooth, too sleezy, too shiny. Kind of like spoiled cheap lunchmeat.
It's been incredible to hear what they have been allowed to get away with. This is in regard for their blatent treatment of their employees, the insurance, safety issues ie: the tires, and numberous other issues. IF, they, indeed did not go out of business the way they did, they wouldn't have survived with the rate structure that they had. Far too cheap to remain profitable. Most of you have had years in the industry and know that you can't haul freight for practice and remain profitable. Hopefully all of ou get what's entitled to you and the Hartmans will get what's entitled to them... This is only my opinion of course. Best of luck!
