Route from Indy to LA (heavy load)

    Why! Back when I started, we had a B61 Thermodyne, 39000 would make it do 13 MPH up La Veta Pass and then you had to get down. That was the frightening part, we'd pickup potatoes or beans and come back. What a ride. No Jakes, Just smokin brakes.

    I don't think as a company I'd let him go down I70 into Denver with a good load on. Not with his limited experience anyway. That's not a grade I'd want a new driver to be trained on. I don't think coming in the back way through AZ,NM, is much further than I15, I70.

    That's what I was thinking, shoot 39k would be a cakewalk.LOL...
