Just wanted to drop by and say hello. I am a retired navy guy who will be hitting the road with Melton in a couple weeks. Looking forward to getting on the road in a big rig.

Which ship was your last one?
I'm going to China this summer for a couple months; always loved port calls in Hong Kong.Lepton1, x1Heavy and Bluechevy76 Thank this. -
NICE! I visited HK back in 2014 on the Enterprise. The last ship I was on was the Eisenhower back in 17. finished up on shore last summer.x1Heavy, PoleCrusher, Chinatown and 1 other person Thank this.

I did one cruise on the Eisenhower, but that was a Med cruise.
My buddy was a seaman (BMSN) on a supply ship on the west coast and he goes to Philippines in the summer for vacation. He has a wife there.
I keep all I need in my condo in China, so all I need is a backpack. Have to travel with much more though with a wife and 2 children.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Here's some music you might enjoy.

Good luck, drove for them for 4 years & just left couple weeks ago. Family issues forced me off road or I’d still be there. The 1st 6 months I was there saw all 48 states & Canada. Do your job, keep your logs clean & they’ll leave you alone which is what I liked. When I turned in 2 weeks notice they actually ran me to weeks.Bluechevy76 Thanks this.

That old Enterprise. Ive heard stories about that ship, particular the rooster tail rumor.
Nothing I can find proves or disproves. So I must assume it happened. What with the overcapacity she had.Lepton1 and Bluechevy76 Thank this. -
I think that an old "sea story" because a rooster tail is wasted energy.
