Looking for Torque for Nut on 2007 Volvo Unitized Hub Assembly. Hub Assembly is a Volvo/Conmet 21024245/10020057 hub. I called Conmet and they told me to call Volvo. Called Volvo and they told me to contact Conmet. I can't find anything on this particular set up online other than a video showing someone doing it but not showing how they torqued it. (The picture is one on a junk truck and the shield is in place)![]()

I called Conmet and they directed me to Volvo. Local Volvo told me that they can no longer give out torque values because they did once and a company had a wheel came off and they got blamed for it. So they no longer do that. I searched online for this type of hub assembly for several hours and can't find anything on it this particular one.

Call again and ask for a manager. You might of got someone before that doesn't now his ### from a hole in the ground.

Or, try calling a different Volvo dealer.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I called the service department then called my parts sales rep. Neither would help me.

Can You get your money back, and purchase a different hub. I’ve seen torque specs on the crush type spacer style hubs, on Timkens website.

It is a unitized hub that appears to be Volvo only. I had to use a used one (which was on a wrecked truck that we had bought) that actually turned out to be new hub, new shoes, and new drum. The dealer did not have one in stock. Who ever put the one on the wrecked truck had chiseled the nut on I guess because they didn't have the right size socket. I had the right socket for the main nut but had to go buy a socket to remove the dust cover.

I see, I was thinking of the one nut system, with a crush sleeve. I thought a Unitized hub is simply a hub with pre load and torque specs set at factory. In other words, the same torque procedure applies. Along with same end play readings with dial indicator. All available at Timkens website.

www. Conmet.com has all the procedures and torques. for all their hubs. Looks like it’s 300 lbs. Don’t take my word though, check the site 3 different types of hubs, 2 different pre set types. Different procedures, torqued for one or 2 nut systems.
